Accommodation at Mid Rock

Mid Rock sleeps 12 people. Bedrooms are situated in both parts of the house offering flexible accommodation with a glass link joining the bothy to the main house. All first floor rooms have stunning sea views with those in the main house looking out across the sedum roof.

Our goal with the bedrooms at Mid Rock is to guarantee that you have a great nights sleep. Relax into the luxurious large beds with their top quality pocket sprung mattresses, wonderful white cotton sheets and duck down pillows and duvets. There is plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and interesting and quirky bits of furniture.

The bathrooms all have powerful showers or you might choose to soak in a deep bath. Bathroom towels are stylish pale grey and white foutas - cotton towels from Tunisia, also known as hamman towels in Turkey. They are light, fresh and very absorbent and dry super quickly on the heated towel rails.

Enjoy both inside and outside living at Mid Rock

Inside sit at the huge dining table made from recycled pitch pine planks or, if the weather is gorgeous, dine in the sunshine on the terrace at the large oval larch wood table. Both tables sit 12 comfortably and make the most of the panoramic views across Woodhaven Bay and the Firth of Forth.

The kitchen sits at the landward side of the house. It is very well equipped and has a large island in the middle with stools to perch on.

The kitchen is open to the main sitting room which has big sofas and a large wood burning stove. The large glass doors onto the terrace slide open easily – on those lovely calm sunny days you can just leave them wide open.

The cosy snug hides behind a floating wall; here you will find a TV and a little hotpod stove.

The bothy provides another relaxing sitting area. This is where the main TV is, and it's a great place for teenagers and kids to escape to. It also opens onto the terrace through a large glass door.
